Founder of Avimetal Inc., the U.S. provider of proprietary equipment and systems for processing and refining of precious metals bearing ores. Mr. Gim has 25+ years of experience and is the founder of multiple companies in both aviation and mining engineering and processing technologies.
James Gim holds a B.S, M.S and Phd. in Aeronautics and Aerospace Engineering. Over 30 years in the airline/avionics industry with Boeing, Cathay Pacific and other firms; very familiar with the challenges of air freight hauling. He helped several airlines change from being in the initial stage of operation to becoming large fleets of airlines such as Air China, China Southwest Airlines, Chongqing Airlines, Great Wall Airlines, Atlas Air, Northern American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Tiger Airways, and Korean Air. His last job with Boeing was as a Boeing Representative JFK Branch Manager. Mr. Gim provides a lot of technical consultation for the introductory support of B747-400 with SIA, Qantas, Atlas Air, Thai Airways, Air China and AMECO. He provided initial MRO support for Thai Airways, China South West Airlines and Chongqing Airlines. Mr. Gim also provides lots of technical proficiency to MIT, FAA testing engineering, and 18 New York-based airlines. He has written 12 aviation books in Korean and the text books are used by colleges and universities today. His combined experience in development, engineering, airlines, major MRO infrastructure, and aircraft reliability programs to most Asian commercial aircraft operators and service companies have given Avdome the edge in the aviation industry. A professional to the core Mr. James Gim leads a team of dedicated partners to fulfilling his Mission of “world’s best FUTURE CREATORS”. He is currently a Gold Member of Boeing Management Association and a
Alumni of Embry-riddle Aeronautical University. He holds a
Federal Aviation Administration A&P License Holder, CAA A&C and KCAB Airframe and Powerplant licenses.
